Bah...I screwed up yesterday.
I showed up to work 9-5, got in the office and one of the asst. managers asked me why I was there?
I told her because I was on the schedule to work...and she told me NO you're not.
I went and looked...and lo and behold...I was on the schedule from 1-9.
<sigh>
OK, one of the upper-level managers had changed it since Thursday, so I got ready to leave to come back at 1.
My office manager saw me leaving, came outside and asked me to stay, since I was already there.
She explained what had happened with scheduling, and said she needed me there for this shift, regardless of who had changed my hours. So I stayed, but the same upper manager who had changed my shift came in for the day and questioned why I was there...and kept giving me the "stink-eye" because my office manager had over-riden her change in schedule.
While I was there, she spent a couple of hours on the computer making changes to the schedules of all the offices in the division...including mine.
I've told these folks that because of my "day job," I'm only available certain hours on certain evenings, and can work ONE day on the weekend...yet she continues to schedule me for whatever time and day she wants...
Fortunately, my office manager understands the conflict and changes the schedule back to what actually works for me...
I need the extra income from this part-time, seasonable job, but not enough to let it interfere with my "day job."
