I love mango but I HATE preparing it!
You are doing it wrong if you have to "prepare" it. Just wash it and eat it with the skin (the skin actually protects your body from the high sugar content of this fruit. One of nature's many gifts). Chilled mango tastes a LOT better than room temperature mango.

I'm guessing a lot of you haven't tried different mango varieties. Some mangos taste awful. Other mangos are just grenades of foodgasm. I once ate a huge Australian mango (weighed almost 900g). It was enough to make me not want dinner that evening. I still remember the awesome taste. Haven't been able to find it since in the usual markets I frequent.

Also, if the mango has gone a bit soft (too ripe), it will taste sweet but not really good to eat because it will just become a juicy mess. Best to eat when it is firm but gets a bit soft when you press it with your finger.

I understand Mango skin is loaded with good stuff but I just don't care for it.... and peeling Mangos is a PITA even with a super-sharp knife.
