I have written an applet that can be accessed by either IE or Netscape. This applet requires a java plugin. Now, using sun's site as an example, I wrote the html so that if the user doesn't have the plugin, they will be asked to download it. This works like a champ in IE. Every time you hit the page, you are asked to download the plugin, if you haven't already. With Netscape, if you do not download the plugin the very first time you hit the page, you won't be prompted to do so again. What the hell! I know this is off topic, but I have been playing with this all evening. :disgust:
