You have no fucking clue what you're talking about. Drug experimentation does not make you special.. tons of people have experimented with drugs in their youth. Cigarette experimentation is almost universal. Just because you took a puff does not make you a goddamn master of willpower. I'm not sure if I've ever seen such a long, dumb post that wasn't intentionally made to sound that stupid.

Damn, I was about to call him out on that post Farang!

To be honest zCypher, it really doesn't sound like you have a clue what addiction really is.

heh...I'm on my '10th last pack' I've been trying to quit for 3 months... I started 9 months ago and have managed to bring it down to about one a week. I should be rid of cigs soon. you can do it too. There is absolutely no benefit to smoking.

Well, it's been 5 days now 🙂

I told my flatmate to punch me in the face if I even talk about cigs, so the weekend should be safe. And all my friends know that I quit, so they will not smoke around me at least for a few months.

At work, we go upto the terrace to have coffee and smoke (not me anymore 😀 ) and my cravings hit me hard up there but I told my coworkers to never let me smoke even if I cry like a baby, begging for a cig and it has worked so far 🙂

Physically, smoking is over for me... mentally, I'll give it a few more months ... Going to the gym in half an hour, shouldn't have any cravings for the rest of the day 🙂

If you're done smoking, then that's it. You're done. No need to reflect on it.

Yep, and stop posting about it and just do it and stick to it. Any time you reflect on it, you're bringing up the question "should I, can I keep on quitting?". The answer is YES. Don't screw it up -- you can do this pretty easily if you really want to, and the trick is to really want to to the extent that you're not willing to lose.

Who told you that I want to quit smoking? I am quilting only because I am scared for my future health. If there were cigs that didn't have any bad health effects but cost 5x more, I would gladly pay for them. (Edit: and probably smoke 5 packs a day).

Good luck to all of us who are trying...

Why don't you try E-Cigs if you want an alternative?
