I'm going to take this opportunity to spout off about ATOT, since I've got a half-hour left of nothing at work tonight:

When I joined, ATOT was a carefree, getting-along place where the worst thing to worry about was "OMG! AIEIEIIEI! NOOOOOOOOOO!O!O!O!O!O!O!" Now it's turned into a huge flamefest where old members try to assert authority on younger ones just because of the little number beside their name. I, for one am sick of it. Take a cue from Mill and ignore the people you don't like. If they see they're not getting attention, and their threads aren't getting bumped like the normal, intelligent, non-inflammatory ones that are what make ATOT great, they'll leave. It's just like your little sister or brother: if you leave them alone, they'll go away.

I, for one, don't like calling people n00bs, or putting down newer members. Sure, I'll be mean to someone if they've been here for a year and post a thread about coupon codes or make a repost of a thread that's still on the front page, but if we all do our part to stay cordial, I think we'll all get along a lot better.

It's a really old adage, but I think it honestly, steadfastly holds true in this situation: "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."
