Can you believe some people called me the nicest cop on the face of the planet?

He had me on:

Reckless driving
25 over the posted limit
Improper lane change/no signal use
No proof of insurance
No registration
Current address not updated with DMV
Cracked windshield
Broken rear view mirror

I must have been pulled over by the nicest cop on the face of the planet because he let me go without even a warning ticket!!! Needless to say I quickly learned the error in my ways and went back to religiously driving the speed limit like I've been doing for the past two years...

So the reason for this post was to ask, what?s the worst thing you have been caught doing and let off the hook for?

Damn you must of sucked him off real good

lol j/k

I think it's right there with yours. Afterall, I was doing 37 over, they could have gotten me for wreckless driving to the point he wanted to take me to jail (he yelled out all the crap he could get me for...the guy was seriously on the top of his lungs screaming at me as if I ate his child.🙂)

...And all the other tickets you mentioned are mindless $5 tickets (2 fix-it tickets, and 2 tickets for your info which all you do is prove you have that crap within 30 or 90 days (don't remember) and you're set).

Not to mention that I got off from pure luck...not his generosity!

Jesus, i hate when people say "wreckless"....you moron, you drive "wrecklessly" every day you dont get in an accident! Get your head out of your ass and type "reckless" when you mean it!!!!! :|

🙂

I was doing "A Lot" in a 55. and got off because the car I was driving was all engine. The body was an '85 beater that looked like crap. I convinced the cop it was the guy who passed me.

That's it, you only learned to go by the speed limit? What bout your registration and insurance? It's scary when people drive without insurance and have no licence plates on top of that.

I had my Precidia at the time for maybe 3 days. I was driving this girl I worked with home. I was being a little macho, showing off a little.
I got pulled over about 2 blocks away from her house. The cop had been tailing me for about 10 minutes. Basically he told me that he observed me running a yellow light, speeding 65 in a 50 is, merging on the freeway before the white line ended, speeding again and then speeding a bit more in a residental area. At this point was about sh!tting myself because I thought I was going to get a huge fine. So he came back and asked me how long I'd had my car. I told him maybe 3 days. I said I didn't even notice him behind me because I was just getting used to the tint on the back window (it was pretty damn dark). So he gave me my stuff back and just told me to take it easy.

I think when he was behind me that he thought I was being a d!ck, because I knew he was behind me. But when he realized I was just a dumb@ass, who was probably showing off he just let me go. I learned my lesson after that. =)

I have a licence plate and insurance... registration is a little piece of paper they give you when you renew your plate and pay your taxes every year... I knew I didnt have the ins paper in my car cause I took it out last month when I was cleaning my car and forgot to put it back in... 😛

Shot a man point blank with a shotgun in a drunken rage. Turns out it was some child rapist who had attacked one of the officer's daughters. Cops covered it up and let me off the hook.

sounds like the plot to Minority Report, the kinetic energy shotgun is awesome

u didn't get a ticket because its not the end of the month, cuz at the end of the month is when they right all the quota filling tickets

Let's see.....should I really admit this to all the kiddies here?

Ok, first thing you have to know is that at the time of this offense it was LEGAL to drive in Texas while actually drinking alcoholic beverages....as long as you are not drunk. One night a buddy of mine and myself went to our favorite bar down in Houston. We took my 66 Shelby because it was rather fun to cruise Westheimer Blvd at the time on a Saturday night. In those days we never went anywhere without at least a 12 pack in tow. As we were not litterers we usually just piled up the dead soldiers on the floor behind our seats.

We spent some nice time at the bar/club listening to a band and drinking more beers....picked up some really nice looking chicks....and then proceeded to follow them to a dance club later on where we drank more beers. Finally one of the girls wanted to go home and asked me if I would drive her home. I did, leaving my friend at the club not remembering that it was close to closing time. After spending a little time with this girl I realised my error and literally raced back to the club to retrieve my friend....but Houston's finest decided that it was somehow objectionable fot me to drive 55 in a 35 on Dairy Ashford Rd at 2AM+ in the morning in a very loud and conspicuous vehicle.

Needless to say I received a nice little ticket. The funny thing is the Police Officer noticed all the dead soldiers in the back and his reply was simply "It looks like someone has been having a good time tonight". This happened just after HPD had started carryng onboard computers in their cars and after handing me a citation he pleasantly informed me that my driver's license was currently under review due to too many speeding tickets (I was rather speed happy as a young man) and he was quite confident that this one would "push me over the top".

I never understood why he never even asked me to take a field sobriety test and simply dropped the whole alcohol aspect of the situation when I admitted to having "a few". I guess he figured getting my driver's license revoked would be enough trouble but he didn't know what was to transpire later in this saga. You see, this ticket was issued in late November and my court date was December 24.....yep....Christmas Eve. I sat in court that morning hoping to get away with defensive driving but to my amazement the Judge was in a real good Christmass mood and after a nice little intro speach he simply dismissed everyone's ticket that was for a moving violation only!!!

I personally think I got away with murder too and in more ways than one.

I go 80-95MPH on I5 between Portland and the burbs late at night (that's a 55MPH stretch of highway).

Got pulled over once and ticketed (82 in a 55), but I fought it and it was dropped.

isnt ur comment of not being able to see him just saying that u would speed if he wasn't there, and not speed if he wasnt. prob not always the right thing to say

One time right after I got my license back, I was at a party and my friend was too drunk to drive home. I needed to go home anyway, so I offered to drive his car home. I had exactly 2 beers, one when I arrived and one right before I left, and I was there for a little over an hour. On the way back, I didn't see a stop sign and blew right through it, doing 45 in a 25. It was a back road, and the sign was obfusicated partially by a bush.

The car was unregistered, uninsured, and looked like it was about to fall apart. I was so close to the legal limit that if the cop would have tested me again 10 minutes later I probbably would have failed. There was a girl and another friend of mine in the back seat -- the girl was under 21 and visibly intoxicated, and the other friend had weed on him that he left in the car. I was unaware of pretty much everything, except that I was speeding and I had 2 beers, and I was on parole at the time.

I didn't even get a warning.

i dunno about u, but i slow down at all intersections. for all u know, another drive could be doing the same thing ur doing and not see a stop sign. and shouldnt there be the word "STOP" on the ground?

actually a warning is a ticket of sorts... if you get a written warning and get a real ticket within a certain amount of time from the written warning than it actually can go against your record and be brought to the attention of your insurance company and the judge who gives you the fine / sentence for your infraction
