I pre ordered Doom III Today

Also, is it my imagination or did someone above say they liked the storyline of doom. That's like saying you like a documentary because of the quality of the acting.

Well, in relation to other games. It's not like I actually think it has a deep story or anything. I did specify that I liked fighting various demon-type creatures.... which is what I was really referring to.

When you live in bumfvck Wisconsin pre-ordering can be worth while.
The only place within an hour of where I live that would carry it is Walmart, and theyaren't going to be cheap.

I preordered mine from Gogamer for $50 with 2 day shipping.

Even at a 5% inflation rate, compounded annually, a $50 game will only cost about $74 in the year 2012, dumbass.

Expected ship date does not = actual doomass.

On the issue of pre-ordering, does anybody know if the pre-order arrives on Aug 3, or does it just ship Aug 3? If it just ships Aug 3, I'll be better off just running to the store myself.

Aug 3 is the ship from vendor date.

If you want it ASAP, most EB Games B&M locations will be receiving Doom3 same-day air from Activision. Meaning, they'll have it the night of Aug 3.

Of course, Circuit City will be cheaper...

LE is supposed to be limited to pre-orders only. Whether or not that will be true, I don't know. It's straight from Microsoft.

Lest anyone spat out arguments, I only point back to UT2k4LE. Take it for what you will, but what do you lose out on by preordering? The interest on $5. Which by my rough calculations, amounts to roughly $0.02/month at 5% interest.

Yup, I made ~$150 on eBay with UT2K4LE
