I played 100 tournaments (1 table Sit and Go's) over my vacation

I was on a messed up sleep schedule, and hit about 10 tournaments a day for the 10 days I was working around the house (up all night, sleeping most of the day)

only 40 finishes in the money, (40%). top 3 get money.

1st - $50
2nd - $30
3rd - $20

10 1sts, 14 2nd, and 16 3rd.

buy in 10+1 rake, so $1100 in buy-ins, and 1240 in payouts, so $130 net, or $1.30 a game average.

Average game took 30 mins, so around $2.60 an hour....

Hrm, maybe i need more practice 🙂

The main annoyance of party poker is the number of times I lose with AK or QQ or KK, even when i try to raise out the noobs on the draw... but I guess i remember the bad beats, and forget the majority of the time when those hands hold up.

I went on a few runs where I would finish 8 of 10 games in the money, and then do a run of 1/10 games in the money.

Anyone else play Sit and Go's much?

40% ITM isn't bad at all...I play $11s on Stars quite often

I played a handful at stars, and was in the money 4 for 4... i wasnt comfortable with the graphics/9 person table, and felt a bit out of place at the time. Its weird what changing poker rooms feels like. I would play there more, but 24hours a day party poker has the $11 tables fill up almost quicker than you can choose a seat, so I stuck with them for the run.

I experienced the same thing when I switched to Stars from Full Tilt. I've had some mild success, but nothing great. I seem to be on a downswing of sorts right now... how often do you play?

SNG's one at a time...will multi PLO ring sometimes if the tables are juicy enough

I work nights at a NOC so I can play 3-6 a night if I want. Writing code in my spare time right now, taking a break after that long run of 100

I know there are quite a few good poker minds on here (95SS is who I am thinking of directly)... Could have some fun, help each other on our games, etc.

Can you create a heads up or shorthanded play money table? I would love to get some more practice on that type of play (IE after 3 are left at a SNG is where making the money is the most key, esp with high blinds)

ATOT poker - woot! I just trashed my bankroll doing Sit and Go's at PS. If I play a lot like you did my play seems to suffer. So now I'll be rebuilding my bankroll for a while 🙁

I was able to maintain 48-50% ITM and 35-40% ROI at $5s(200 SNGs) and $10s(200 SNGs) at PS. Then I got brave and moved up to $20s and I lost about $120 in 20 SNGs. I haven't looked at my hand history yet, so I don't know if I was playing scared, stupid, unlucky, etc. It's also possible that I just got wtfpwned by better players. I've been playing MTTs the past 2 weeks and I've done ok, but it's time-consuming.

I used to tear it up in the $30 + $3 with 10 people. All you gotta do is wait it out. I think its easier than low limit entries cause there are a lot less fish

You sure about this? I play single table S&Gs pretty much every night of the week and it's fairly rare to have them finish in less than an hour.

I will agree with others pointing out that higher tables can be easier to cash. Maybe not win, but waiting it out and cashing can be easier. I can't stand $5 S&Gs now. $10 and $20 seem to be treating me ok on Stars right now.
