I owned my old store manager

So I've been working for a certain retail chain for over 5 years. I transferred stores mainly because the GM was being a jerk, and amongst other reasons.

Tonight, it was that stores holiday party. I decided to go, knowing that it would be ok as former employees would show up to past parties as well. There was bowling, pizza, and drinks, along with a raffle. I tried getting a raffle ticket but he wouldnt give me one, which I totally understand. At the end of the raffle, he says to see him if you didnt win anything. So I went to see him, just to mess with him, not expecting anything. He sees me coming to him, makes eye contact with me and says "no, YOU left me." So I kind of chuckle and say "and you're not doing anything to tempt me to come back either". He couldnt think of anything to say. OWNED!

Yes, yes I do...because I know that theres others that still work there and feel the same way, so they were laughing after I said it. Its difficult to say something like that to your current boss, yet so easy to say it to someone that cant fire you.

Heh its just to get some spending money while I go to college. I would have tried to find something else one or two years ago, but I knew that no one would start me out paying me as much as I made/make.

Damnit. You didn't take it to heart, offered an explanation (even though you don't owe me one), and kept a good attitude about it.

Looks like *I* got owned. 🙁

If you say so. I mean, I'm fairly happy with my job right now, I'm sure I'll find something better once I get my degree.
