I came here because of the Hot Deals forum. They had a printable $50 off $50 for Staples coupon someone posted. I remember I bought Microsoft's cordless phone system. I had VOICE MAIL on my home pc from that. How awesome was I? 😀

Oh and how many people are still rocking the Revere pots and pans from Value America?

I found this site while I was a member at Sharky's forum back in the day. Hot deals is what got me here....found it just when the WMC's were in full voice and had just been split off from the "main" forum to "contain" their angst.

Value America.....those were the days.

I came here because of the Hot Deals forum as well. I used to be part of a group that scoured the net for daily deals and this was one of my stops. i never left :/

Haha @ Value America...that poor poor store.

Originally the result of a google golf apparel search that sent me to the FS/FT forum.

Came back later as a work safe forum where I could read about gaming instead of working.

I was working 3rd shifts as a help desk person. Only person on the entire floor of a building that took up a city block. Back in 1998 it was was one of the few boards that had any sort of overnight activity to keep you occupied.

Didn't hurt that it was a tech site and not as awkard to explain while working in IT.

Pretty much exactly this for me too

Hm, did I have a specific reason? I think it was Hot Deals that got me here originally. Then I just wanted to spew bits into the internet or something I guess.

alright i just bought a P4 3.2E Ghz Prescott CPU with an ECS PT800CE-A mobo (not so great). It came as a good deal, $210 for both where the CPU alone retails over that. I know that my system wont run that great with a mobo slowing it down. Ive been asking around in different forums that i go to. when i first started looking i read rave reviews on the ASUS "P4C800-E DELUXE". I was also leaning towards Intel's i875 board. Then when i post that question on the THG forums many members told me that the ASUS board had a faulty CPU voltage regulator. I dont know exaclty what that menas because I dont know much about mobos. They reconmended the Abit boards. I saw Abit's top of the line board for the 478 chipset...the IC7-Max3. It gave me much interest because of the OTES cooling system but the price was a bit high and it was hard to find elsewhere but ebay. Right now im open for any suggestions on an i875 board. These are the ones im looking at...

ASUS "P4C800-E DELUXE"

Intel "D875PBZLK FMB 1.5"

ABIT IC7 MAX3

DFI "LANPARTY PRO875B"

I want the best performing mobo with reliability

My first post that I can find. I remember the forum went through a re-do that lost some older ones.

Mostly building PC help, which then led to FS/FT which I kept parting and replacing components, and now I'm here at ATOT. :|
