I once used a program to make a setup.exe file think WinNT was Win98, etc. - Anyone know what program this was?

I once had to use a program that can "fake" certain settings in Windows. I.E if a setup file detects winNT and it won't install, you could use this program to make it think you are running win9X, whatever.

I forget what it was called and I need it now.. Anyone know?

the program is in win2k CD. I dunno where it is exactly, but the name of the file is apcompat.exe
try to find it using start - search - for file or folders

No...there was another program, it was on ZDnet downloads...

Thanks for trying to help him, but Unistalling Internet Explorer has nothing to do his problem. As he said in the thread title and in his message he wants to find a program that makes a setup file think it is in a different OS.
