TWO times... TWO TIMES! I voted today and decided to try out the electronic system this year. My intention was to vote for McCain... but after pressing for his name, the result indicated an Obama vote. Sure... okay, fluke, but I caught it. I asked the poll worker to assist me and I started over. Sure enough, it did it AGAIN. The guy heading the polling location walked over, took a few minutes alone with the machine and I tried again... finally it worked. As I was on my way out, I noticed someone wearing an "Obama '08" t-shirt in line for the machine, but when I walked through the doors, the volunteer standing there stopped a woman, telling her she had to take off her McCain/Palin sticker because it was considered electioneering (which IS against the election rules here...). Double standard? I think so. Fishy electronic ballot? Definitely so.

I've said it before. All involved in setting up those electronic votes should be send to internment camps for the most epic fail in their duties EVAR. They SUCK ASS.

I failed to mention that I refused to finalize the electronic ballot and took a paper ballot instead, just to be on the safe side. It's so so scary knowing how easily manipulated the election process is.

I heard the other day in West Virginia....machines were flipping Dem votes to votes for Republicans.

I wonder what happened to that story.

Double standard? I highly doubt that even happenned.....if it did happen I am sure that they were so busy it did not happen just because it was a Obama T - shirt. Conspiracy accusations will run rampant today!!

I think so. Fishy electronic ballot? Definitely so.

Never had any problems with our electronic voting machines, but it is kind of scary that there's no paper trail. Seems like it would be very easy to manipulate.

Must be certain machines that suck.

If you messed up voting where I am, you don't deserve to vote anyway.

There is a physical button next to each candidate that lights up when pressed. There is no possible way that clicking on one button can cause a different button to light up.

Is there anything more pathetic than the voting situation in this country? Can we do anything organized/efficiently/correctly? How is there not a single, working type of machine to handle voting. We only get.... 4 YEARS after each election to fix it.

HAha... sorry guys, but if I'd had my own TV crew following me around, I certainly would have given you some video evidence... maybe a few interviews and maybe even a 30 minute infomercial regurgitating the same thing over and over. /sarcasm

No worries, squall, I've had worse. I've been spit on and called a murderer just walking down the street in my ACUs (Army garb) here in good 'ol Columbia, MO. Being called a liar? Whatever. I hardly expected everyone to believe it. :D

If you had posted this one of the threads about voting problems I wouldn't have had a problem with it.
But to start a thread with no evidence except anecdotal would basically be the end of this forum as people would just be signing up and making threads on everything and anything that came into their heads to post.
I will withdraw the /shens.

Hey, it was nothing personal. For the record it SUCKS that anyone should have their vote switched by the voting machine.
I want someone in jail over the whole voting machine fiasco.
