If he is right then don't go on my advice:)

I would get the P4 1.7 and GF3 of course. If you have the money to blow then get those. But again, if there is a problem with P4/GF3 systems then omit what I just said:)

No problems here, bacillus. My GF3 and P4 run great together. And this is the first I've heard of what you speak of.

I guess I don't understand the dillema, domi. Is money not a factor here? If not, then get a GF3 and a P4-1.7ghz.

And either way, get a Santa Cruz.

Do a search for it. You'll find lots of people who say it's better than the SBLive.

nice system... but if i was gonna spend all the $$ for the gf3 & everything, i'd want at least a 19" (or 21") instead of the 17"

MOney can't be too much of an issue since he is buying from DELL...

Dell doesn't sell AMD so we will leave it at that.

Seems nice!! Get the 19" monitor or no monitor and buy one locally...still get 3 year warranty on the item plus save a bunch of money.

What is the price including S&H on that item? I like to have dell systems to compare to my built systems so I can show the customer how much they may be paying for the dell service. Let them decide if they want to go that route.

Besides the fact that you're buying from Dell, it looks fine. Get the 1.7ghz and the geforce 3, and definitely the Santa Cruz over the SB Live.
