I need to start weaning myself off diet "coke".

Coke, soda, pop, whatever you tend to call it. I drink probably 5 or 6 cans of generic diet soda every day, sometimes less sometimes more. It's always diet but I know that's still not good for me. A study was just released showing a connection between soda intake and pancreatic cancer, even if it's diet! Not sure I have the will power to cut it out though. Well actually I have the willpower, I'm loosing weight, but not sure I want to lol 😀
No, the study specifically excluded diet. It also supposed it may not be the normal soda but rather the lifestyle in general.

Anyway, fvck's sake. I mean really. Diet Coke? Please. The stuff is foul. Coke Zero or bust.

And yes I think diet drinks may be problematic, too. I still drink one or two a day. I really do love them. I think they are unhealthy to a degree but I don't know how much.

Pop vs. Soda

I drink way too much Diet Snapple and Coke Zero (provided for free at work). I do not drink coffee and drinking water is not satisfying.

Unfortunately, I am allergic to alcohol, so I am not sure what is left.

Look at those silly twits who call it coke, dumb, dumb, dumb. dumb dumb DUMB

i limit myself to 2 cans/day. i could easily put down 6+ cans of cherry coke zero every day. that stuff rocks.

after my 2 cans are up, i switch to sweet tea. except it's not the typical southern sweet tea. i use less than 3/4 cup of sugar per gallon .. works out to be about 1/3 of the sugar of regular soda.

If you find yourself still craving the "feel" of pop, try some soda water! All the great fizzyness of pop and it's just water!

Look up aspertame and side effects. If this doesn't give you incentive, nothing will.

this is just fucking pseudo science nonsense mumbo jumbo. same bunch of idiots who will believe vaccines cause autism no matter what and ignore any real scientific literature. There has been NO rigorous, peer-reviewed study that the amount of aspartame we consume leads to any deleterious side effects.

edit: cue the 'omg the industry has academia in its pocket'

No I don't mean diet Coke specifically lol. I don't like that stuff either. What I drink most of the time actually is President's choice caffeine free diet cola. It's surprisingly good:
