I try to be as certain as possible, since its not very easy to retrieve deleted files deleted from most CLIs... DOS, Windows Command Interpreter, Linux, NetWare, etc.

It's inevitable. This is why they have the recycle bin in Windows. I hate it, disable it and remove it from the desktop. (well where I am allowed to hehe) If I want to delete something, I don't want to do it twice! If I screw something up (and this happens more than I care to mention!) I rely on backups. Oh dear what would the world be without backups? 😉
