Thank you in advance for your interest.
We'll be making a site for our buisness here in Japan, so it will be in Japanese.
Any recommendations?

3rd vote for dreamweaver. It's an excellent program for novices and experts alike.

vote for hiring a pro. If you are a total noob, and are using dreamweaver, your costs would be MUCH better spent on a professional designer

I've tried a couple, and I always go running home to Dreamweaver. Avoid Frontpage at all costs.

/don't get me started

Frontpage express is the easiest, but the result is usually crappy.

dreamweaver is great!

Very nice program so far. Unlike photoshop, quite intuitive and relatively easy to pick up.

After I'm done making the site, where can I get it "active" (sorry, don't know the lingo)? It will be small, only a few pages, no big files or such on it. Is it possible to get a free place to put it on the web? And does it make a difference wether that be in Japan or elsewhere?

Front Page is the easiest. But, sometimes the host does not have extensions for it and nonIE browsers have trouble with it sometimes.

I'm pretty happy with Dreamweaver so far. Just need to find a free server(?) to put my site on now.
