I need to clean my mouse

It doesn't need to be installed (I don't think), but won't hurt. I mainly use it to disable the forward and back on my extra buttons.

I can't imagine why you'd need to clean the insides of an optical mouse, but you should be able to pry its "feet" off. The screws are under them. You might need some superglue to reattach them when you put the thing back together.

You'll definately need some glue to put the feet back on. What'd you do spill coke on it? Most cleaning you can do just by taking a dust can and shooting it in the eye.

Buttons are sticking. Sometimes when I click once it clicks 2 times.

Anyway are you sure they are screws under the feet? I had a Logitech Optical that didnt have any screws on it. Sure the top parts don't just pop off somehow?

Thanks

Get a FREE replacement from Microsoft. I had to do it last year and went from the Intellimouse Explorer to the Intellimouse Explorer 3.0

I know there're two screws under the back feet on the MS IntelliMouse Optical. I assume the Explorer is a similar design.

But I'd go with that MS warranty thing (like MasterHoss said) if I were you.
