i read that thread before i posted, it links to the same page i did, i dont want to use the Java version cause its slow and the links on the page to download it are for the upgrade version

I have some of the Sybex E-Trainers and they won't work with the Java editon. I downloaded the MS version at this site.. MS Java

There was just a big thread fight about this. Basically, the Microsoft Java VM was removed with Service Pack 1a....but it is still a part of Service Pack 1, which is readily available on the net....under xpsp1_en_x86.exe. I dislike the sun version as it runs horribly slow and crashes half the time.

does not work, it says i must have java already installed inorder for it to update
