I need some Techno music

I was riding with my friend today, and he is a HUGE techno fan. It's mostly all he listens to when he drives. And I think he might have gotten me hooked on it too. Do any of you listen to techno? What are some good artists or songs?

Not a HUGE techno fan but for some reason i really like vocal trance (is that the word?). I really like Paul van *** - Castles in the Sky

There used to be a website where you could download Phatcow's (a forum member who used to do techno and trance mixes) mixes.

I have all 4 for them (Envisioned 4 through Envisioned 7 B2B Mix)

What kind of techno? House? Jungle? D&B? Trance?

Usually the most commecially successful stuff tends to be trance-ish. I'd recommend Vegas by Crystal Method. Great album.

It depends if you like really like "techno".

I'm guessing you guys were listening to trance and not techno.

I have no idea. I know abosultely NOTHING about techno. But he had a lot of the mainstream type of stuff, like what you hear on commercials. Thats what I like I think.

It was likely trance. Techno is a bit more upbeat and I usually think of it as "hyper" compared to trance.

Paul Van Dyk FTW!

Yeah, there are many sub-genres under the umbrella of "techno." Like SampSon said, I'd wager you were listening to some trance. Personally, I enjoy trance, but I spin house. House has more of a disco feel to it, and less "electronic." House tends to feature more samples of real instruments as opposed to synths, for example.

🙂

I appreciate the offer, but I like to listen to my vinyl before I buy it. The only time I've ever bought vinyl online is when I already know the label/artist/track that I want and sought it out specifically.

Besides, I hardly spin anymore. Just an occasional party as a favor to a friend here and there.
