I need some suggestions on my new build

It's been a while since I built a computer so if I can get some input so I don't cause myself a lot of problems it would be much appreciated. I bought a E8600 CPU and I am ready to pull the trigger on a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R. I really like the reviews on it at newegg, any objections to this board? I need to find a good CPU cooler also.

I don't know what kind of RAM to run in the board, any suggestions here? This is what I was looking at for RAM G.SKILL 4GB.

As for Video, I like EVGA for the video card, have one in my current system. Should I go all out and buy the EVGA 01G-P3-1284-AR GeForce GTX 280 SSC Edition or do you think this is over kill. I'm looking forward to Operation Flashpoint 2 coming out and as far as current games, the last game I played was call of duty 4. I will be mainly using this for gaming. I would love to spend less but I don't want to upgrade in a year. Any suggestions here? Do you think the EVGA 896-P3-1260-AR would work for me?

I'll need a PSU to power all this too, what kind of wattage do you think I'll need? I was looking into PC Power & Cooling but I don't know whats good anymore.

I will be running Vista 64 Ultimate for the OS.

go with the pc power and cooling 610 or 750 for a PSU. 5 year warranty.

I was looking at the 750, I think I'll get that one.

DDR2-800 is fine unless you intend to try to overclock the chip past 4 GHz.

I don't know how far I'll try and overclock it, I want it on air cooling and I'm not sure what I'll be able to accomplish with that. Still need to research it more.

Stick with good quality PC2-800 rated at 1.8-1.9v and you can't go wrong.
Corsair XMS, Mushkin or G.Skill 😉

i'd also go with a p45 series motherboard.. intel chipsets are more stable, have no nv4.disp errors and OVERCLOCK higher.
