Did anyone mention Sponge "Plowed", "Molly", and "All this and nothing" are popular/good tracks, others like the songs: Pennywheels, Giants, & Drownin'.

Fuel is pretty good too. Songs: Bittersweet, Hemorrage (In my Hand), shimmer, and sunburn are popular.

Throw out one from left field: How about Sublime. CDNOW Album Example Songs: "What I got" & "Wrong Way" are a few popular tracks. I think "Doin' Time" was another one. I personally love the song "Santeria". Got a bit of a reggae feel to it...

I'm sorry, all of this "nu" metal sounds like total ass. Linkin Park, Disturbed, Slipknot, Staind (bwahahaha, be depressed a liiiiitle more, MTV millionaire boy!!!), they are all JOKES!!!! HAHAHAHAAH, they are such complete total garbage!! I'm assuming you are big computer geeks, come on, use the internet for something useful, like finding out about some good, lesser known bands, not the dog $hit that MTV and radio spoon-feed you.

Also--it's a double whammy 'cus most of the songs you mention are the ones that were released as singles, you know, the ones they always play, and make videos for, etc. DIE MTV DIE!!!!!!!! Please guys, wean yourselves off that crap, you will be doing yourselves a BIG favor.
