I need some opinions PLEASE

Ok so I now have a mobile 2500+ running at 2.5gHz on an Abit NF7-S V2.0. As of right now my voltage is 1.825V but my board undervolts as much as .04 so in reality it hovers around 1.80-81 most of the time.

So here's the scoop. I want to keep my processor for a long time (~ 2 years) What voltage should I keep it at? Should I go down to 1.75V and see what I can get there or even further back since this is a mobile? Please I need as many opinions as possible because I don't want to fry this thing up. I have cooling that is more than enough for this setup (SLK-947U w/ Tornado) so heat isn't even close to being an issue. Thanks for all the help.

That voltage is way too high, as far as I know. The typical barton mobile should run at 1.5V (I think that's right). 1.825V is high for a normal desktop barton - I would definetly try and reduce your voltages. I didn't know that the mobile 2500 could go upto 2.5Ghz - that's awesome!

Ok... I'm not home right now so I can't turn them down. What do you recommend I have for a max for long term use?

I would keep it at 1.75v. You'll more than likely still be able to get 2.4ghz at 1.75v (actual). That would mean you would need to set it at probably either 1.775v or 1.80v in the bios. These people who are running 2v into their mobile Bartons don't care if they only last a few weeks, but if you are wanting to keep yours for 2 years, I would recommend 1.75v actual.

thanks for the opinion myocardia!!! You are very knowledgable on these forums and I trust your opinion. I'm not home now but I'll go home tonight and drop it down 1.775v or 1.75V and see what I can get out of that. So my chances are pretty good that it will last for long time at that voltage?
