I've burned myself out on the music I've got at work. Trouble is, the dudes that work in the music store across the street can't recommend anything that isn't punk.
My preferences lean toward heavier rock, but also include old school metal (thrash isn't my style, death's just goofy), classic rock all the way back to the 60s, industrial (or whatever it's called these days...), some hip hop (mostly for the beats, but don't care to listen to 60 minutes of a rapper talking sh!t), and just generally anything around those areas. I like bands that have a high level of musical skill (Rush, The Tea Party, Primus... you know... aren't limited to 2 chords and 2 times) but don't make that the ONLY focus of their music (Dream Theater).
Thoughts?
