Right now, I have a Gree Antex Xalien case with a window thats modded to hell with UV lights and UV cable wrapping. Im going to college next year, and dont think I really want this kind of case anymore... I was looking into the Cooler master Wavemaster yellow case with no window... am i making a stupid decision here? or would i be better off having a *normal* PC in college?

I think the yellow does look "stylishly bland" its got a smooth look, while not the typical black

Get a normal case. You can leave your computer on all night that way and the lasers and LEDs and sirens you've got on this one won't keep your partner awake.

An attractive and/or riced out case might get attention, and might attract conversation, and then people can judge you on how you are as a person, not based on your cold cathodes and plexiglass windows. :) But if you really want to normalize it down, then this is a nice, quality case.

wavemaster looks high-tech but not geeky, so i'd go for that. neons and bright glowing lights are distracting anyway.

personally, i use a shuttle case cuz i travel back home a lot from school and its easy to carry.

the only problem with that is lack of space

only one optical drive, one hard drive, etc

The horror of it.....it's beige!!!!!!

Recommendation from a user of - go for a Sonata the Piano black quality is very stylish and gives a good impression, you can sucessfully have it in full view of anyone and not be considered a 'computer geek'.

I like a case with some personality, and I don't care about someone's judgement of whether I'm a geek :)

I'd go with a Sonata, or some other quiet box. if you, your roommate, and a computer will all be sharing the same room, the noise from the box could get annoying pretty fast when you're trying to sleep.

i have the super cool (and big -- meaning expandable) thermaltake xaser3 v2000a case. i'm a female, as you probably know, and people know i have an interest in computers but not enough of one to be considered a computer "geek" or whatever. i don't get any negative comments from my case. my friends think it's really neat. even the cable guy who had to come repair my internet connection last year wanted to get in touch with me afterwards (date, perhaps? i didn't really follow through) because he thought my case was so cool.
