I need some help..

I just put together a Duron and A7V system. Connected the RAM, the video card, IDE cables and power for the drives. Everything is as it should be. Here's the funny part. When I plug in the power (not turn it on), the computer boots up on its own for 10 seconds or so then dies. Weird. So I turn it on. I hear the drives turning but nothing comes on the screen. The motherboard doesn't even beep or anything. I cannot even get into the BIOS. Anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem might be?

Another weird thing I noticed is that when I unplug the power cord, the LED on the motherboard will stay lit for about 5 seconds before it turns off. Is that normal?

Yeah I thought of that and unplugged everything. I should at least be able to access the BIOS screen. But the same thing happens. I tried taking off the RAM and when I turn it on the motherboard beeps like it should because there's no RAM. At least that much is working. I know it's not the GTS because the card works in my other system. Any other suggestions? I don't know what else to do.

Just out of curiousity, is it overclocked yet? If it is, set it back to normal. Another thing you can try is moving the memory from one slot to another. Are you sure the video card works? Do you have another system you can plug it into? Another video card perhaps? Good Luck.

OK on your advice I've moved the RAM and still the same. I've tried it with a 256 stick of PC133 and another stick of PC100. The PC133 has Hyundai chips and the other one is generic.

Everything is at default right now. I wanted to get it up and running before doing any tweaking. Yeah I've tried two working video cards and still the same.
