In my current system, I have 2x512MB of PNY DDR-400 RAM. Now I'm building a new computer, and want to reuse the RAM, but bring the total to 2GB. Should I get 2 more sticks of PNY so it's 4x512MB, or ditch the PNY and get 2x1GB of Corsair Value Select or something? With which seteup would I see the best performance? BTW I don't overclock.

2 x 1GB will allow you to run the timing at 1T, which is a little faster than 4 x 512MB at 2T.

Also running 2 sticks versus 4 ends up being less problems. Some boards don't do to well with 4 sticks.
