when i play halo it usually locks up and reboots or will feeze for awhile and come back...when it reboots on its own i looked under event viewer and this is what it says.

" The driver nv4_disp for the display device \Device\Video0 got stuck in an infinite loop. This usually indicates a problem with the device itself or with the device driver programming the hardware incorrectly. Please check with your hardware device vendor for any driver updates."

i uninstalled the driver and installed the newest one and played for about 5 mins and it locked up and rebooted again....what could be wrong? bad card? i have a 6600gt.

ok it just did it again when i was playing(froze up)....but something inside of the case started ticking then it quit and the game came back on.

do you have the latest updates for the game? does this happen while playing multiplayer or single player campaign?

*Download latest Halo patch
*Download latest NV drivers
*Download Driver Cleaner
*Uninstall current video drivers
*Reboot into safe mode & run Driver Cleaner
*Reboot into normal mode & install latest NV drivers

Could also be your mobo drivers.

Good luck

I had the same issue when enabling 8xAA with nvidia cards on a nvidia nforce4 SLI chipset board, so I don't think that the ATI chipset and nv card is the problem. What are your system specs?
