I *may* have a job offer in St. Louis. I've never been there and I'm not sure how much money would be appropriate to expect. What would you consider good pay for the area? Basically I would like for a decent apartment to cost me around 1/3 of my net pay.

What are good areas that are close to the city to live in? Anything interesting there?

I live there(well, actually in the burbs, but same difference). My rent is 615/month for a 1 bed 1 bath. I know a guy living downtown that pays 1k/month though... it makes a big difference based on where you want to live.

Define "close to city"... I'm currently about 25 min from the arch for reference.

PM me if you have other questions

I guess 25 minutes isn't too bad. I live .4 miles from my current job, so anything would be a longer drive for me. ;)

FIOS is a plus. :D

Just avoid "East" Saint Louis at all costs.

:)

Heh, so I've heard.

What's the area like? Any interesting places to go? Rivers, parks, hills, or is just a flat plain?
