I installed xp and to my surpise my copy of Easy CD Creator that came with my Iomega drive, will not run anymore. I looked at the price for this software (the pro versions) and well its cheaper if I just go out and buy a new drive. So to save me from this do any of you know where I can get some free software. And it need to be able to erase CD-RWs.

I had the same problem when I first installed XP. So, if you only need to erase CD-RW's I would recommend Nero 5.
Nero's great for burning ISO's, and CD duplication...

But if you have any problems with Nero, then I think CD-RWin also works well with XP.

You can read, write, re-write, and erase all from within XP. You can use Windows Explorer. You really don't need extra software to do that.

The only downside to having Windows burn your CDs is that it burns an image to your hard drive first, before going to the hard drive. So, it adds like 5-10 minutes (depending on the size of the burn, of course). My choice of CD burning software is between Nero and Easy CD Creator. But, I like Nero better because if it gets updated, it only needs one patch. Easy CD Creator might need 3 or 4, which is way to much to do the same job as Nero. And, I think Nero is a tad quicker.

(my two cents)
