I had another meeting with my nutritionist this morning, and I got nailed for not having any breakfast most days. Usually if I have something like pancakes, or something big and cooked, it won't settle well in the early hours. Also, I find that I have a matter of a few minutes to eat something. Something like a breakfast/energy bar was recommended with some grapes or something. I could just eat it in my car during my commute.
While getting groceries today, I picked out five random bars that looked appealing to me. They ranged from MET-RX meal replacement bars to Slim Fast bars.
Obviously I know that most energy bars do no taste great, but taste is definitely one of the things that I would like to incorporate into my decision. I also have a gym class for an hour to start my day.
For my situation? What brand/type of bars would you recommend? Should I look for protein bars, or bars with a certain amount of calories?
