I need recommendations for an energy bar...

I had another meeting with my nutritionist this morning, and I got nailed for not having any breakfast most days. Usually if I have something like pancakes, or something big and cooked, it won't settle well in the early hours. Also, I find that I have a matter of a few minutes to eat something. Something like a breakfast/energy bar was recommended with some grapes or something. I could just eat it in my car during my commute.
While getting groceries today, I picked out five random bars that looked appealing to me. They ranged from MET-RX meal replacement bars to Slim Fast bars.
Obviously I know that most energy bars do no taste great, but taste is definitely one of the things that I would like to incorporate into my decision. I also have a gym class for an hour to start my day.

For my situation? What brand/type of bars would you recommend? Should I look for protein bars, or bars with a certain amount of calories?
Thanks!

If you are trying to get some vitamin/mineral replacements, hit up Sam's Club for the "Triple Threat" power bars. They have a caramel and a peanut crisp on there that are pretty decent(for a power bar).

They provide the most common nutrients of just about any bar that I've seen. Plus they are cheap and taste decent.

If you are just looking for something that tastes decent, and is a meal replacement without shooting for a power packed nutrient source, just grab a big box of the Quaker Oats Oatmeal Squares from Sam's club. They are fairly filling, high in fiber, and taste good.

I used to eat a ton of the MET-RX Meal Replacement bars (the Chocolate Chip Cookie ones are the best)

Also, when I am in a hurry, I pour a packet of instant oatmeal in a cup and use the hot water dispenser on the coffee maker to "cook" it. Very quick.

I personally prefer Clif bars. I use them for on-the-bike food when I'm cycling and I also frequently have one for breakfast with some yogurt and a banana. A big benefit is that they come in about 15 different flavors, so you can mix it up when you get tired of one. Lemon poppyseed (watch those random drug screens), carrot cake, peanut toffee buzz and cranberry apple cherry are my current favorites.

Good choice, I love the carrot cake one too.

Cliff bars are my current preference. I used to eat Zone bars, but they contain too much sugar. I started with Atkins bars, but they have too much fat and sat fat.
