I am finally building a new rig after my Northwood just cant cut anymore for the games i am running. Right now i have this set up
New Rig
I like everything i have picked out so far but the ram and of course im struggling with HDD's (to raid 7200 rpms or just buy a raptor 8-p), im sure i can find a better value out there for RAM. i plan on OC'ing, but i am not looking to set any land-speed records, i just want a faster then what i paid for stable system. i was looking a G.Skill or ballistix but open to everything.

Unfortunately your link is not accessible to all. You're probably better off just listing th darn thing.

g.skill is good. the 2gbnq sticks can probably reach ddr2-900 speeds. there's some corsair xms sticks for around the same price as those that can also reach that same speed. crucial is nice, but expensive. they can oc like crazy though.

Well you certainly have all the first rate parts picked out. I notice you have three different HD's picked out. Why not just do Raid-0 with two Seagate 320 GB SATA II's? Raptors will give you good performance so if you want, one of those for OS install + two Seagates in RAID-0 for storage will give you great performance.

The Gskills memory may not have Micron D9 chips. But since you are running a 6600, working at advertised 400 Mhz will be a good overclock (3.6 Ghz). If you don't plan to overclock much over 3.6 GHz, you don't need a 400 dollar memory pair. Not sure if you can overclock that high anyways with air cooler.

Dominators are overpriced. Core2Duos max out at around 3.6Ghz on air, so you really don't need higher than DDR2-800. The g.skill 2gbhz sticks have the micron ic's everyone wants.
