Ok i'm in a major dillema right now. For a present I got a 2.53 p4 and a axp 1800+(i'm a lucky guy). Obviously the p4 is the better choice so i'm going to use that. I don't know what motherboard to buy though. Every mobo seems to have one big draw back. Obviously the best choice would be a granite bay, but that only supports ddr 266(could it unofficially support 333?). Also today at frys they are selling 256 ddr 333 for 65 bucks, so i'm thinking of nabbing that.. The smart thing would be to wait for the springdale chipset. Or should I get a 845 PE? I'm looking for a mobo tahts a good oc'er, will have support for future p4's, support ddr 333, and has agp 8x(not neccessary, but i plan on keeping this for a while, so it would be nice). I don't need a fully loaded motherboard. I don't use Raid, or a ton of usb ports, or fire wire (onboard lan would be nice though). Any suggestions?

granite bay is a good choice
it "officially" supports pc2100, but really any speed ram will run in it, just not at its full potential (until you overclock)

asus p4pe is also another good board (lacking the dual channel ddr however)

o cool thanks. Yeah i'm a total p4 noob, i should probably just get an nforce 2 and use my 1800+, but that would be stupid. So if i put in ddr 333 in a granite bay it will work? Would it show up as ddr 266, if so i'd be fine. I was looking at that asus board u were talking about though. Lol granite bay will arrive in about month though, I have to stare at this p4 2.53 for a month then, that sucks.
