Do you use onboard sound or a third-party card? If you have a third party, is your onboard completely disabled, as well as your 3rd party completely enabled?

Well, Realtek is onboard sound, which means you dont have a 3rd party soundcard - or if you do, you dont have it connected properly or have the drivers installed...
You should look into what motherboard you have, and get the new sound drivers for the onboard sound (which Im sure you dont have) and take it from there...
