I found a version that will actually properly install on Windows 2000 with SP4. If someone can provide me with about 6MB of webspace, I can upload it.

Uh, no it's not.

However it is still available. If you have an AOL cd (any version) laying around it's on there. The actual Microsoft VM and not the Sun crap that is. That's where I got mine.

Besides being buggy, slow, and prone to crashing, there is nothing wrong with Sun Java.

If you have a previous version of MSJVM already installed, you can use this update to Build 3810 from MS. Otherwise, you'll have to install a build older than 3809, then use the update. Build 3805 can be found from numerous sites.
