I NEED HUB HELP!!!!!

Ok, I'm using a hub right now for my router, it's pretty old... CentreCOM MR820TR 8-ports. When I'm using the lan to play online games, I cant have two computers connected to the same server, it just keeps retrying the ip. What's wrong? Would a Switch let me connect to a server with two or more different computers? Please help me.

I'm guessing that these games only allow one connection per IP and since you only have one IP through your router that is your problem.

I'm pretty sure the servers allow more than one of the same ip because over a friends house using his router we can connect to a server using 2 computers.

It is hard to judge, with the info given, what is the problem, but it is not "a not having Switch problem". As long as the component is working, Switch or Hub does not make a difference for few computers.
