Ok. Two days ago, my computer started to get messed up. It would flash the bsod then all I see is a blank screen. It happened many times so I decided to format the drive and reinstall win98. It still happend after I did this though. This moring, I couldn't even boot up. I don't see anything when I turn it on. No beeps or anything. All it does is keep checking the cdrom and burner over and over in a loop. So I took everything apart and put it all back together and made sure everything was in place. Now when I turn it on, I still get no beeps but it doesnt check the cdrom and burner over and over. I've tried clearing cmos many times too. I have an Abit bx133 and celeron 633. Thanks for any help.
 
Be your own tech support, narrow it down, (do what the guy above said), then add in each extra part one by one, until the problem occurs again. Then you'll know your problem.🙂
 
Check the IDE cables, my older computer did that (the floppy stayed on forever).

You may need to replace them. Shouldn't cost ya much.
