Heres some questions:

Should I get Radeon 64meg or the MSI GTS pro 64Meg
Asus a7v133 or the epox kt133a board

this will be for a puter upgrade with a 1ghz 133fsb athlon. please tell me why or why not to get a certain hardware and not just "get Nvidia because ATI sucks ass" thanks :)

btw: the system will dual boot between me/2000

I really like the EPOX KT133a board. Tons of overclocking features, and priced lower than the ASUS board. Epox really got did it right, I think. For video, the Geforce2 is a better performer.

GeForce 2 Pro = Much better performer.
Radeon = Nice card, but better for business and "average" home users (overall).

If you play games, get the GeForce 2 Pro. If you don't, buy the cheaper of the two.

ASUS = Higher quality.
EPOX = All I know is it's a rather generic brand name. I don't generally buy generic stuff 'cause it frequently sucks. This may not be the case this time, but, personally, I'd buy the A7V133.

REALLY tight budget = EPOX.
Tight budget = A7V133
Personal KT133A choice = ABIT KT7A (RAID optional).

MB I would buy if I were you = Something DDR. Either ASUS A7M266 or a KT266 MB. The KT266's just went on sale today, and MSI is the only choice right now (K7T266 Pro). Wait a week or two and check out some benchmarks...

I have been very impressed by the epox board. Never would have bought them before, but put one in a system for a friend. Runs stable and fast.

Actually, I've had no problems with Win2k and my Radeon. I've only had the card for a couple weeks now, so of course, I've only been using the latest drivers.

It really depends on what you want out of the card. Imho, the Radeon has better image quality. Although the GF PRO is faster. But with the GF, some cards have notoriously bad 2d quality, so do your homework. The Radeon's DVD quality is awesome.

Just go to the major websites (AT, Tom's, Sharky's, etc...) and read the reviews. Decide what you want out of the card, and go from there.

thanks a lot guys. well the Radeon is actually cheaper. I play a lot of games, but i can use 98 or ME for that if the 2000 drivers are not good enough. I want good 2D since i actually work a lot during the day on the computer. I guess i'm going with Asus for the mobo. Epox is cheap but I hear better things on the asus. Had a bad bad experience with abit's kt133 board, bad QA if you ask me so no abit.
