ok heres the deal, my mic isnt working, i think it is drivers, but i dont know which driver is for my mic, can anyone tell me what driver it is? is it an audio driver?
 
how does your mic hook up to your computer/ usb? through the soundcard? what kind of mic is it?

if it goes through the soundcard, it is the soundcard you need to tweak.
 
what sound card do you have onboard, if so what motherboard? Do you have any other devices that uses a MIC, like a web cam?

Do you have latest drivers for the sound card?


 
If your soundcard is working your drivers are fine. Check your mixer settings and make sure your mic input is not muted. Keep the mic away from speakers as if you have it set up to monitor output you can get nasty feedback that can damage your speakers and your hearing.
