I need help with a desktop background problem.

Every time I restart my iMac the desktop background changes,
Here are my settings. vv
Change picture: Every Day is checked
Random order is checked
Translucent menu bar is checked

.....to me "Every day" is 24 hours and it would be nice to start each day with a new desktop background but id like it to stay put for a day. What am I doing wrong here?
I am running OS X 10.9.4

Random order.

If you want to start off on the same one, every time, then uncheck that. I think that's the problem.
