Well...I go to CSUN and I'm tired of college and I already have a decent job so I don't care what kind of degree I get just as long as its the quickest and hopefully easiest route. This also has to be a bachelor of science degree. I just hate taking so many math classes for that stupid computer science major....arghhh!

Quickest and easiest BS will be the one in the field you like the most. Once you find that you like it, the classes will be easy because you will find that the information is retained easier and you have an inclination to study. Maybe math and CS isn't for you? Every other major can be done in 3 years with summer school, easily. If you really crammed the units in, 2 years can be done.

Economic is not a BS.

Psychology is probably the easiest BS degree. I have one and I know from comparing it to other friends :) I still had to do basic math, physics, chem, etc. but not too much.

I'm not looking for the easiest just the quickest...

my situation is that I finished most or maybe all of my lower division GEs and now I'm just taking classes that pertain to my major. There's just too many classes that are needed to move to the next level and I don't want to be stuck taking 1 or 2 classes a semester just so that I could move up to the next level and take another 1 or 2 classes. I want to be able to take more than 3 classes and not have so many prerequisites.
thanks

I always found psychology to be easy and even though some classes posted prerequisites, I never found any to be requiring more than psych 1 level knowledge.

Why get a college degree at all if you're getting one in a field you don't care about? Might as well drop out now.

Dumb advice above.....

Many business owners only care that you have some type of degree. Do not drop out. Get something. Then, if your current (tech?) job falls apart, you could always jump into another career if you decide to.

Go get a Psychology or Communications degree.....that's what all of the basketball and football players have.... :)

Very true. I have a degree in Wildlife Biology but most places couldn't care less. They just want a degree.

Don't the majority of science degrees build upon on another? Engineering is that way (at least at PSU). In fact, most of your general ed classes were taken until your junior and senior year (due to the prereq ladder). Why not just go to school part time for those two or three classes and work full time since you have a good job? (just offering another approach)

I just want a degree as a backup or at least to show to my kids that I'm not a dropout and will be able to encourage them to attend college without feeling ashamed that I dropped out. Another reason is just to make my parents happy...its a chinese thing. :D

I am 33 and not from this country. Things work a bit different in Germany and not everybody needs a collage degree. I had some higher education, but not what you would call Collage.
Guess what I had to hear the last time I switched jobs.... "Your resume looks good, but you don't have a degree". Yes, it's BS (I mean the Bull... kinda BS) but sad thing is... you need one to advance. Don't ever drop out. Stick with it and enjoy the time in collage while you can.

I disagree. I think that going to college just to get a degree in any field is a good enough reason to attend. Some ppl never figure out during college what field really clicks with them (speaking for myself unfortunately), but having any bachelor's will get you far more jobs than if you didn't have one. (duh) You have a lifetime to figure out which field and career suits you and it doesn't have to do with your college major at all.

You shouldnt get the degree if it doesnt matter to you (and it sounds like it doesnt). Save your money and put a downpayment on a house or buy a car instead.
If you really want a degree, then think about what interests you, not what's quickest.
