Hi all,

I am putting together a cheap system which will consist of a overclocked Celeron 1.0A (up to about 1.5G), but am not sure on which motherboard to purchase....

I was thinking about the Abit ST6????

Good or bad idea???

Let me know

Thanks

My wife is using the MSI 6337-Lite with a Celeron 1.0a@1420MHz. Very good benchmarks and easy to set up, good overclocking features. The wire vid-pin is installed, the only gripe I have is the core voltage is limited to 1.675v.

I would think the ST6 would be a fine board. I have not used it, but have 3 SE6 mobo's that easily oc the Cele800 to 1.1G/133. And ran my Sdram at 222 timing. Using 1.80v, Intel fan/hs.

Hopefully someone will respond who has that board.

Have you checked Gigabyte. I like the EasyTuneIII that lets you oc from windows, you can tinker with settings until you get what you want. then save the settings.
