I need help identifying a movie...

Okay so basically... all machines in every day life (appliances, trucks, etc) come "alive" and start attacking people.

What movie is this? I did the best googling I could, but all I got was epic fail.

I joke that I do not read books because it ruins the movie.

Maximum Overdrive is one of the few movies made from a book (or story) that I read. The movie did not live up to the story.

I love that movie. Stephen King didn't like it, so another more close to the book version was made, but it totally sucked.

Ooo how about Freejack? Came out in '90 or so, costarring Anthony Hopkins and Mick Jagger? Interesting film, and had a youngish Rene Russo as well I think.
