I bought a sata hard drive and just finished building a computer. In bios the computer recognizes the 1 sata hard drive. But when i try to install the operating system, it says "setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer" Why wont it recogonize it. Anyone know what is the matter? Thanks already

Or slipstream all of your patches, and programs into an image.

yeah windows xp's basic drivers don't include SATA drivers, so you'll need to provide your own via floppy disk. (I think SP2 has them included now?)

No, AFAIK SP2 did not include any additional drivers.
