Hi Guys/gals of ATOT:

Okay well I have already given her a Christmas CD shes always wanted. And I have yet to give her 5 books I know she will absolutely LOVE!! I got burned, as I was going to give her a DVD of Phantom of he Opera I knew shes wanted for ages, but a friend of hers already gave it to here without me even knowing she was going to get it...

Weve been together for about 3 months now, so I don't want to overdue, but I do want her to know I care. I've spent about $100 on books for her so far. She has told me shes not into jewelry at all (Wheww!!!). She really, really loves Hippopotamus, anything that has to do with Hippos really. Shes a English teacher, so maybe I could get her something for her classroom.

It was easy to pick out the reading material..but I still gotta get her like 2 more 'Killer' gifts to make me look like the best gift giver ever... I know this may sound corny, but I thought about getting her a Wind Chime thingy with Hippos on top of it, and on the sides. And even though she isn't into jewelry, I'd like to get her a Celtic Cross necklace. Shes all set on CD's or Movies, so not gonna go there for any gifts.. She loves to read, write and anything romantic she adores.

Anyone have any ideas.....?? I'd like to spend maybe another $50-80. Is this being too cheap, or about right??

Thanks folks!!!

see if you can get a local craftsman to make something. small cast silver pendant on a silver chain, something like that. if it's one of a kind and you sorta helped design something, points +=100.

what are her hobbies or other things she likes to do?
if she said no jewelry, then don't do it - even if it's specially made or whatever. maybe in a while, but right now you should definitely stick to what she says until you know her style well enough to know you can pick out just the right piece of jewelry that she actually will wear
is she often tired at the end of day of teaching? maybe she wants a foot massage or something, it's not expensive but more thoughtful things like that are nice
if she likes phantom of the opera then why not take her to a play or an opera? get nice seats to something you think she'll like
is she into other types of music like symphonies cause you could take her to that or a concert she wants to go to

i don't know man, 3 months? I think 100$ is enough for a g/f of 3 months. But that's just MHO.
