I need help finding a car

OK, with my money I have now, its pretty obvious I will not get an Integra or Eclipse I was hoping for🙁 Actually, i can not afford any Japanese sports car period. I can afford stuff like a 93 Eclipse, but I am looking for a car with some airbags. you know, for safetey reasons. I only have $7500 to spend and any more i will have to take out a loan from my mom, but I do not want to do that cause I want to save as much money as possible for college and a new computer as well as books for school and expenses such as clothes. So, what do you think is nice to have at that price. I am not looking for a mustang or anything like that cause I wnat to have some decent gas mileage and insurance will cost way too much.

I tried a 94 prelude, but everyone I saw was a POS that had over 100k mi. I tried auto trader, but all teh places with good deals are an hour drive away. I found a Black 95 Integra with 42K mi on it with an auto trans for 10,600. I thought about buying it if I could talk it down to 9K because its a great investment in my opinion, but that seems pretty unrealistic if you think about it. Also, I will have to take out a loan from my mom. Even though she offered a loan with no interest, I do not want to be in debt.

You could easily find a nicely maintained, low milage 95-98 Ford Countour or Mercury Mystique w/ the V6 in that price range.

Very peppy cars, and have incredible handling for a 4 door sedan in their price range.

At your stage, I would suggest something like a Honda Civic/Toyota Corolla/Hyundai Elantra. They should suit you fine till you can afford something more expensive. The insurance on those will be reasonable too. I own the Elantra and quite happy with it. I'm waiting till I'm 25 till I get something fancier which is a little over a year. You can probably get a 97 or 98 Elantra with decent miles in your price range.

I was looking a few days ago, and I saw a 97 chevy Cavalier z24 for $6000. They look pretty nice, and reviewers seemed to like it, but my whole family has had nothing but bad experiences with American cars. what do you think?

I was going to suggest like a 94 prelude (even though you said you couldn't find anything)... my gf has one with 200,000 miles and it's still running STRONG (and fast)!!
