I need help building my computer up to Battlefield 4 specs :)

I'm a complete nub at what all the giga hertz and gb ram and all that jazz. If someone would be kind enough to help me by explaining what giga hertz on my processor means. I have a good enough Graphics Card (GTX 560 Ti) but i need ram and a processor to meet the needs of Battlefield 4.

My specs: GeForce GTX 560 Ti Graphics Card
Intel Core 2 Duo Cpu E6550 @ 2.33GHz(i know it sucks)
Genuine Dell Motherboard For Inspiron 530, 530s and Vostro 200, 400 Systems.
2GB RAM
Inspiron 530 Tower Case

I want to know if this could all work together.

I would love if someone tell be what all these numbers mean. 🙂
 
The processor your looking at needs a motherboard to which it will fit and this perticular cpu needs an am3+ socket. ddr3 is basically the same concept with the processor ddr3 is is the type of memory it can accept
 
That 6300 + decent MB + 8gb ram + 7950/760ti would be a nice well balanced Bf4 machine for 1080p high or 1080p Ultra with some OCing

Your specs aren't good enough to make BF4 run smoothly on full HD(its what I assume your monitor resolution is) plus would you clarify that if you have already bought the AMD FX processor or not? Also where would you be making this purchase, as in online or not & which country ?
 
I think that if you have not bought the Fx BE, do yourself a favor get either an Ivy bridge or a Haswell. 3570 k or 4670 K. Also it is difficult to help you if you do not specify your Budget. how much do you want to spend? Please provide more information. If your budget is very limited get the PS4 or The X-Box you probably end up spending less with same Results
 
That AMD FX isnt going to help; the cause.

BF4 will run like crap especially if your video card is budget as well as CPU. gl

i just want to add since your a noob at this i wouldnt recommend you building your own pc. for sure if your have no difference in ddr3 memory or a socket of a cpu. either buy all the parts you need (if you need help tell us what your budget is well recommend your build) and take it to a computer guy in your city and have him put it together. my recommendation is to get a xbox or ps.

Not really. There are a million threads and posts on how to slap a PC together online. Its not difficult. I'd still get an i5 if possible over a 6300 any day though.

Yes I agree with you but think about it he has no idea what a socket is or what the memory is. There is a lot of tweaking involved in a gaming Pc. There are consoles that are ready to go

That's his least expensive, do it himself option.. Anything other than that would require a new mATX board, CPU, HSF, RAM, Power supply, and knowledge to build it..
 
First off, you can totally build/upgrade your own pc, no matter your level of pc knowledge.

second, I would ask a mod to move this to the general hardware forum where you will get a lot more help and a lot less people telling you to get a console.

people there give advice all the time on building/upgrading pcs and which parts are compatible. they helped me build my first ever on my own, and i have put together 3 more since then, and i still dont know all those numbers and terms by heart. 😉
