I need GFD help (Mine isnt working)

I just bought a TD2 off of a guy from the FS/FT forum. It does not seem to function properly. After i insert it on and set it to my default clock speed (700mhz) and set the core to 1.70, my computer turns on but my monitor keeps flashing on and off. When I remove it, it works fine. My motherboard is a FIC SD11.

I got it at 800mhz stable only :/. It boots up *sometimes* at 850, but only sometimes. What is the max voltage i should set it @? Its at 1.85 right now. Even when I tried changin the L2 cache to 2/5 using mathlon, i still couldnt hit 850, any ideas?

1. Buy a better cooler.
2. Set L2 ratio to 1/3.
3. Up the voltage to 1.9v.

Those three suggestions should help push ya.

Hey jaybert,

Looks like we may have a similar setup. Except I'm using an abit ka7. I just got my gfd and I'm running stable @ 850 w/ 1.85v. What temps are you at? I agree with ashpool, keep the L2 cache at 2/5, try upping the voltage to 1.9v if your temps aren't too high, and definitely think about upgrading your hsf (unless you already tried that).

I've tried setting the multiplier to 9x but when it boots up, the bios says something like:

Bios Boot Block
Bios checksum error
please instert system disk

I took that to be the limit of my cpu, has anyone seen this before?

I got an epox k7xa and an athlon 750 with a northwind rev3 gfd.
I got mine up to 1100 before I burnt up my powersupply. Now Im running stable at 1045. My voltage is maxxed at 2.05. My mult is set at 9.5 and my bus is at 110. My L2 is set at 1/3
