I need cookie ideas

so, I've been drafted into helping my mom/sister bake their holiday cookies this year. the asked me to bake 3 different types (whatever I want, but they've already taken making the "standard" ones for themselves -- chocolate chip, oatmeal, etc)

I'm pretty famed for my chocolate cherry cookies, and I think I might channel my Quebecois heritage and bake some maple cookies, but I can't decide on the third... any suggestions?

my only input is that I'm shying away from bar cookies (partially because I need 6-7 dozen of whatever I'm making, and also because bar cookies seem like they always fall apart when you toss them into a box haphazardly)

I do an oatmeal cookie that i put a tablespoon of finely ground coffee and heaping mound of crushed andes mints into. That was always a hit.

Also can't go wrong with basic sugar cookies and an almond icing.

I got a recipe for Nutella cookies a while ago. Man they are addictive. Nice and chewy. Although it does use a good bit of nutella, so 6-7 dozen would cost a bit to make

We made the most awesome ginger snap cookies from a calendar recipe. I still have it if you want it, but I'd have to find the calendar.

Even if you think you don't like ginger snaps these will change your mind. The taste and consistency are perfect.

I think the official name was "Chewy Ginger cookies".

something about aiding in the creation of gingers just made me feel tainted.

Don't ruin fresh cookies by doing anything other than straight semi-sweet chocolate chip. No nuts, no oatmeal, ESPECIALLY NO RAISINS, no other crap.
