I need advice on which AMD mobo to get

I'm going to be building a custom system and have a good idea of what I want for everything except the motherboard which I don't know too much about. My specs so far are an athlon XP 1700, gforce ti4200 agp, soundblaster audigy pci, ide hard drive, and 512 MB pc133 ram. The last item is the one throwing me for a loop. I already have the 512 stick of ram, but I don't see any decent athlon motherboards that support 168 pin dimms that I need. I don't want to have to throw $100 out to buy a newer type of ram either. Any suggestions as to which motherboard will fit?

The only way to take advantage of that CPU and Video card then you need to use DDR. The sdram boards will drop your performance level. You can get 256mh DDR for $40 or 512mh for around $75

Look at the Shuttle AK35GT2R , I like it.

I concur, go DDR and the Shuttle is a solid board. You should consider the EPOX 8K3A also since you'll be using an Audigy for sound as Epox boards tend to be among the elite of overclockers and their stability @default settings is as good as any.
